The editors liked
Incredibly polished device
Great all-purpose mobile camera
IOS 8 is fantastic
The exposure compensation control – a sun symbol on a thin line – is welcome. The integration of the new controls won't disturb the point and shooters but will delight the serious photographer. Video quality is superb and there is slow motion available.
Great design

The iPhone 6 delivers a spacious
Crisp 4.7-inch screen

And bumped-up storage capacities to 128GB at the top end. iOS remains a top-notch mobile operating system with an excellent ecosystem of apps

Almost like the iPod Touch as a phone
Reachability (double-tap home) is a neat idea for larger phones
Fast 4G speeds

Still great for one-handed use
The nicer looking of the new iPhones
Great camera
Vibrant display

Proficient camera modes

Better fitness tracking tools
Improved camera
NFC capability (eventually)
The editors didn't like
Some specs aren't as high as they should be
Some features don't work in Australia yet
Expensive
Skin colour in bright sunlight is too ruddy
With a general tendency to oversaturate reds. RAW capture would be the icing on the cake
Still pricey
Screen too lowres
Battery life isn't much better than it is on last year's iPhone 5S. And there's wasted space
An even larger screen could have been squeezed into the same housing
Screen is larger
But not really a huge improvement
Fixed storage with no way of upgrading
Slippery
Hand-hold for thumb at the bottom is a bit of a balancing act with a phone this size

Abstract: There are countless things the iPhone 6 does not do: there's no 4K video, there's no higher pixel count than rival models and there's no HD audio, to name but a few. But that's to miss the point. What's made the iPhone so successful is its combination ...

Design, build quality, 4.7-inch screen, faster processor, Apple Pay, iOS 8, camera
No wireless charging, no waterproofing, battery still not great
In the iPhone 6, Apple has managed to make a phone that doesn't necessarily bring anything new to the smartphone arena - Apple Pay aside - but at the same time makes everything work so effortlessly. All the features you will find on the iPhone 6 ca...
New design that's more comfortable to hold, bigger screen, improved camera
Reqires inconsistant 'Reachability' tool for onehanded use, camera slighty protrudes from the back case
It's clear that the most important change with the iPhone 6 is its size. Yes, the processor is a bit faster and the camera is slightly improved, but it's the 4.7in display that makes the biggest difference. It means a better experience when watching TV or...

Both of the new iPhone 6 models are expensive propositions, but the iPhone 6 Plus - particularly at the upper storage capacities - is really going to test some wallets. Whether they do enough to justify their price tags is debatable, but these are extreme...

Apple has finally acknowledged that the iPhone needed a big screen, an improvement that should have arrived last year on the iPhone 5S. The new model is notably larger, with a well screen sharp and bright, but wider. Its design has also changed, taking a...
Abstract: The build quality and design certainly reflect the Apple ethos and we see curved edges where there is a seamless transition of glass to metal anodized aluminium and stainless steel. There are no distinct edges or gaps to be seen, the volume buttons have b...
