Incredibly polished device
Great all-purpose mobile camera
IOS 8 is fantastic
The exposure compensation control – a sun symbol on a thin line – is welcome. The integration of the new controls won't disturb the point and shooters but will delight the serious photographer. Video quality is superb and there is slow motion available.

The editors didn't like
Some specs aren't as high as they should be
Some features don't work in Australia yet
Expensive
Skin colour in bright sunlight is too ruddy
With a general tendency to oversaturate reds. RAW capture would be the icing on the cake
Still pricey
Screen too lowres
Battery life isn't much better than it is on last year's iPhone 5S. And there's wasted space
An even larger screen could have been squeezed into the same housing
Screen is larger
But not really a huge improvement
Fixed storage with no way of upgrading
Slippery
Hand-hold for thumb at the bottom is a bit of a balancing act with a phone this size
Beautiful design, Improved battery life, Great camera, Excellent performance
No expandable storage, Can be slippery to hold, Expensive

Something many users have requested is for the operating system to be more customisable and extensible, which is what iOS 8 delivers to some degree. The benefits will take time to emerge, but already a choice of third-party keyboards can be installed, in...

Abstract: When Apple released the first iPhone, its 3.5-inch touchscreen seemed huge compared to the displays of other phones. Nonetheless, competitors responded with even larger screens, trying to find areas where they could provide clear alternatives to Apple har...
Abstract: In fact, the Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5 are so packed with features some fans have justifiably struggled to keep track and have been left wondering how the two match head to head....
Abstract: The Telegraph 's Head of Technology Matt Warman found that although no one single feature stands out, "the combination shows Apple once again doing what it does best: reinventing and repackaging existing ideas into a new, improved iPhone that hits riva...
