The slim
Lightweight Toshiba Kirabook still feels very premium

199 this is an expensive beast. But is it worth it? My view is yes for the simple reason that an Ultrabook of this ilk is going to get used and the last thing you want if you use an Ultrabook every working day is one that cannot last the test of tim
Beautiful screen that is crazy sharp
Insanely light
Sturdy and very well built
Fast enough for most
Comes with a premium support service adding two years and dedicated support line
The editors didn't like
Battery life is merely OK. Needs a bit more "bang for your buck"
Loud fan
No Ethernet dongle
Higher-res screens are more common now
And available for less. The generic brushed-metal look isn't particularly distinctive given the price
The basic look hasn't changed in the past couple of years
While the competition is catching up. The touchpad isn't as responsive as it should be
Price to performance ratio is considerably high
Mediocre webcam quality
The Final Verdict
Toshiba has been successful in correcting almost all of the major shortcomings of the older Kirabook in its latest offering. The extended battery life
Slimmer
May have to adjust zoom or screen resolution for apps
On the downside Toshiba needs to work on the cooling fan and the problems associated with the sheer resolution of the display screen
Neither of these two small issues take away from the fact that this is the best Ultrabook we have ever seen.
Trackpad driver needs work
Not everything is optimised for the high-resolution screen
