The editors didn't like

  • Slightly confusing typeface on keys
  • Backlighting doesn’t apply to Shift keys
  • No light customising to go with macros
  • Backlighting doesn?t apply to Shift+ keys
  • Backlighting and a few spare ports don't justify the $40 premium over the non-Ultimate BlackWidow
  • Lacks resounding blueswitch feel
  • MMO gamers may want more macro keys
  • No more dedicated macro keys (though you can still use other keys to record macros)
  • Not much reason of an upgrade if you already have a BlackWidow Ultimate
  • Does not support Chroma SDK and no custom lighting presets from the community yet
  • Clack clack clack. don't expect this to be quiet. Or cheap

  • Stiff cable, Price
  • 115$ is what you end up throwing out to get one of these keyboards, a tad higher perhaps than other mechanical keyboards. The Blackwidow is a full size keyboard with excellent features as Macro keys, braided cable, LED keys, etc which turned out to be...

  • No doubt the keyboard is excellent to use and very well designed, the clicking sound might be a turn off for some as well as the fixed parrot green lighting color yet one should not be put off by such little things when getting a mechanical keyboard.Besid...

  • Mechanical switches provide audio and tactile feedback. Backlit.
  • Stylized font on keys is hard to read. No backlight customization. Poor shielding for pass-thru ports. Smudge-prone finish
  • The Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2013 Elite is a solid mechanical gaming keyboard, but it has its flaws, like a smudge prone-finish and poorly shielded connections....
