The editors liked

  • This is a classic Apple piece of work
  • Sleek smart and highly practicle. It hits all the right buttons which is what Apple is famous for.
  • Superb screen
  • Slick gaming
  • Simple interface
  • 4G capable in Australia
  • Improved front-facing camera
  • Quality app ecosystem
  • Apple's new iPad includes a stunning new screen
  • Matched by a quad-core graphic processor and the world's largest app and media store to feed it content. There's a proper 5-megapixel rear camera now
  • With 1080p recording quality. Optional 4G data from AT&
  • Astoundingly clear screen
  • Dual-channel 3G is faster than you realise
  • Compatible with quite a few of the iPad 2 cases
  • Much improved camera

The editors didn't like

  • It is not 4G and Apple with all their $97 Billion in the bank should have had a little respect for all the devotion that Australian consumers have given them in the past and gone out and delivered a 4G model that actually worked in Country. Samsung and HTC have taken the cost hit
  • Why not Apple.
  • Can overheat
  • Apps take up too much space
  • No expandable storage
  • Thicker than iPad 2
  • Only a minor upgrade over 3rd Gen
  • Lightning accessories are expensive
  • Gets warm with regular use
  • The new iPad is slightly heavier than last year's model
  • Apps and movies optimized for the screen might take up more space
  • And ports for HDMI
  • USB
  • And SD require adapters
  • No LED flash for the rear camera
  • FaceTime front camera is still VGA
  • Can get a little warm

  • If you don’t already own an iPad or an Android tablet then the new iPad could be the one that finally breaks down your resistance. It certainly blows away the Android competition and should ensure that the iPad continues to dominate the tablet catego...

  • High-quality display, responsive, fast performance, good battery life, lightweight
  • 4G not available in UK yet, lack of killer new feature
  • The display and processor updates mean this is the best tablet in terms of screen quality and multimedia consumption....

  • Beautiful design, great processing power, strong battery life, iOS is the market leader, easy to migrate data from older iPad,
  • The camera is still not going to impress purist photographers, 4G is broken in Europe, 16GB model will prove limiting, 128GB version should be added, Kitguru says: It is the best tablet on the market, Rating: 9.0, Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6, Share, Facebook, Twit
  • As I said earlier, it is difficult to deliver a full review of a product as diverse as the iPad 3 overnight, but I do feel as if Apple have pushed the tablet sector to a whole new level. The new Retina display is clearly a huge improvement over the older...

  • Abstract:  Now that the highly anticipated third generation iPad is finally here, we should check out what we know, so far, about the latest tablet from Apple. Without too much ado, let's dig into the technical specs and features of the nameless, but "resolutionary"...

  • Abstract:  We opted for the white version (after all, why not be different?) so how does it measure up on first look?Chassis We weren't expecting much innovation from the new iPad 3's chassis, and we haven't really got much either. It looks almost identical to the ...

  • Abstract:  Here it is, the new iPad. After much hype about the new Apple product, we're here to go over just how this hunk of metal and plastic fared in our labs. While the screen is certainly the best we've ever seen, the battery isn't, and it lacks the type of per...

  • Now that we've finished testing the 3rd gen. iPad, what we've seen so far is very impressive. Its screen is amazing for a tablet, it has the same established operating system that other iOS devices have, and it doesn't try to re-invent the wheel. Many of t...
