  • Abstract:  Three years ago we reviewed Wacom’s Intuos3 Drawing Tablet and were overall very impressed with the product. Wacom recently introduced their Intuos4 series to replace the aging Intuos4. Today we’ll see if it can match up! I was fortunate enough to get...

  • Abstract:  Graphics tablets aren’t anything new, in fact they’ve been around almost as long as the mouse has been popular. And in the world of graphics tablets, Wacom is probably the best known name and certainly one of the most popular brands around. They have ...

  • Abstract:  Many of you may not know that one of the original inspirations for Bare Feats Lab was my desire to research the best platform for digital cartooning. My first published cartoons were drawn with pencil, ink pens, and colored with Luma ink. When the firs...

  • Abstract:  Now When you think of graphics tablets, you think of Wacom…well, unless you’re way excited about the possibility of Apple finally releasing a tablet Mac (which is quite likely, now that I think about it). There are a few other companies that make grap...

  • New ExpressKey controls (software and hardware) are a great improvement, Slick looks, improved ambidextrous design, Upgraded pen, mouse, and penholder are excellent improvements, 2048 pressure levels double the sensitivity of previous tablets
  • ExpressKey buttons are disappointingly mushy, out of alignment, Glossy black material attracts dirt and fingerprints worse than the original chrome iPod backings
  • In all, the tablet was a solid upgrade from the Intuos 3. The new functionality is a solid plus, as is the upgraded form and style. Graphics professionals will love the new sensitivity levels and the enhanced workflow provided by the ExpressKey enhance...

  • Abstract:  If you use a product like Adobe Photoshop, or Corel Painter, and you are not using a pen tablet, then you don't really understand what you are missing. A pen tablet allows you much more control than you can get with a mouse. It gives you much more effi...
