Great battery life. Thin and light without compromising ports. Backlit keyboard
Well designed; Backlit keys; USB 3.0; Lots of connection options;
Mouse gestures aren't fully supported; Screen could be better;
While the screen isn't the level of quality we expect in Toshiba's premium products, the Satellite Z830 is one of the best Ultrabooks we've seen to date, marrying an exceptional design, solid build, and excellent price point. Pages: 1 2Tags ToshibaUltrabo...
Abstract: If the ideal of Ultrabooks is to take current big power-guzzling notebooks and transform them into tablet-like, feather-light slivers of alloy without sacrificing too much performance or functionality, the 13.3in Toshiba Satellite Z830 comes closer tha...
Light and slim, Good keyboard and touchpad, Impressive speakers, Good performance, Plenty of connectivity
Flimsy screen, Too much bloatware, Boxy design, Quite pricey, Matt screen will disappoint some
The Toshiba Satellite Z830-10U doesn't come in cheap, at £999, but there are several features this ultrabook provides that better what's on offer elsewhere. Unfortunately, though, the Toshiba Satellite Z830-10U appears to be somewhat bi-polar. It has some...
Great battery life, Thin and light without compromising ports, Backlit keyboard
Keyboard is a little mushy, shallow travel, Screen is worryingly flexible
Toshiba's Satellite Z830 is without question the leading ultrabook in the market today. With extra ports, backlit keyboard and stellar battery life, it stands head and shoulders above competitors.

If you want to buy an Ultrabook, then buy this one. It's only 1.1kg and 16mm thick, but it has a conventional feature-set and it feels very comfortable to use. We enjoyed reviewing it very much, more so than the models from Acer and ASUS. Our only quibble...
Abstract: When splashing out the cash on a premium product like an ultrabook we expect the design and look to be top quality, and the Z830 does look attractive. For starters the magnesium alloy casing looks sleek and the laptop is most definitely thin at 15.9m...
Extremely light for 13.3 inches, Rigid within the realms of what's possible, Fingerprint resistant surfaces, Comparatively many ports, Many ports at the rear, Good keyboard, High application performance, Full performance on battery power possible, Low hea
Permanently audible fan, No docking option, Weak colors, viewing angles on the TFT, Built-in battery, Moderate battery life, Stiff mouse keys
The Toshiba Satellite Z830 10J changes hands for a grand. The user benefits from the lightest 13.3 inch ultrabook (1110 grams) of all times. Even the MacBook Air 13 is heavier with 1330 grams. The magnesium aluminum lightweight construction is very simila...
The Toshiba Satellite Z830-10U has a build quality that many won't like, a poor screen in terms of pixels and poor battery life. The Asus Zenbook UX31 would be a much better choice....
The Toshiba Satellite Z830-10U costs less than the Portégé Z830-10P and has better hardware specifications. Business users will have to swallow the difference though in order to get Windows 7 Professional. For anyone else, the Satellite is the best opt...
