The editors liked

  • This is a sleek fast phone
  • That is rich in applications and functionality. It will put the iPod under pressure while leaving brands like Nokia scratching their proverbial backside.
  • Excellent design with stunning AMOLED screen. Huge range of preinstalled software. First-class web browser with Flash. HTC Sense is superb

The editors didn't like

  • The application icons should be larger and one of the three buttons on the base of the phone enabled to activate the screen.
  • Poor 5-megapixel camera. Battery needs to be managed by the user. Needs at least 8GB of internal storage

  • Speedy 1-GHz Snapdragon processor, Bright and rich Super LCD screen, Solid design with soft-touch finish, U.S. Cellular's battery swap program
  • Rarely had a full signal, Camera images oversaturated, Odd design choices
  • U.S. Cellular answers the call for a sleek Android phone while packing in plenty of speed and a vivid Super LCD screen.

  • The HTC Desire is a solid addition to Canada’s Android lineup. The blazing fast processor makes for an enjoyable user experience as does HTC’s Sense UI. The phone fits comfortably in your hand and feels like a quality handset. If there was one disappoi...

  • The HTC Desire features a sleek design with a sharp and responsive touch screen. The 1GHz Snapdragon processor keeps things running smoothly, and call quality is good
  • No voice dialing over Bluetooth. Camera and camcorder quality are so-so
  • Sleek and fast, the HTC Desire is not only U.S. Cellular's best Android device but the carrier's best smartphone to date.
