  • Really, it's hard to see how a still camera could be any better than the Sony Alpha7R III. The thing is superb. Just remember, it'll typically be a bit of a lump to carry around. The site for the Sony Alpha 7RIII is here...

  • Until now, Sony has been the only mirrorless camera manufacturer to offer cameras with ‘full-frame' sensors; but that's about to change. On 23 August Nikon will unveil its first mirrorless camera, which will have a full-frame sensor and a new lens mount...

  • The α7R III was recently announced as the winner of this year's Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) award for the Best Professional High Resolution Mirrorless camera so it should be no surprise that we've nominated it for an Editor's Choice award. Th...

  • A great camera with a few flaws that has really taken it up to the big boys in the top end full-frame DSLR market. Has every right to be considered a major contender by anybody looking to move into high end hardware. Will convert some pro photographers to...

  • Abstract:  For three years now I've been using the Sony A7S as my primary camera. It's compact and it's incredible in low-light, but in certain regards the camera is starting to show its age and doesn't really fit all my needs: It's limited to 12-megapixel photos, a...

  • Abstract:  Before I go into this, I need to make a few things transparent. I'm the type of photographer who's leaned more into my photojournalism roots recently. I don't like doing a lot of photo editing. And that's fine. If you're the type who wants something perfe...

  • Abstract:  That's why the newest addition to the Sony Alpha series is so conversation-worthy. With the 399 focus points on the Sony a7R III, and its ability to track focus like no other, the company touts it's hard to get a shot that's out of focus. This camera is...

  • Abstract:  Well, it's on.With the Nikon Z7 and Canon's EOS R, two companies have risen to challenge Sony's solo dominance of the full frame mirrorless market. While we haven't had extensive time with the Z7 or EOS R yet, here's how they compare to the a7R III on p...
