The editors liked
The optical and mechanical quality of this lens is absolutely stunning. The small distortion at both ends of the zoom range is easily corrected and won't even be noticed in general use. Sharpness
Contrast and colour are superb.
The Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM lens currently occupies a unique spot as a wide-aperture zoom lens built specifically for APS-C mounts. It has a great build quality and delivers excellent photo quality
The editors didn't like

f/1.8 maximum aperture, Excellent image quality, Fulltime MF option, Very good sharpness
Not fullframe coverage, Somewhat weighty, Modest 2x zoom range
