Great design
Powerful and well-specced
All-day battery life
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha's metal frame makes it the most luxurious feeling Galaxy phone to date. Its more compact size makes it comfortable to use
It has loads of power and its camera is great
Best looking Samsung
12MP camera
High resolution screen
The editors didn't like
No expandable memory
Disappointing screen
No expandable storage
TouchWiz is still a problem
Screen is only 720p
It has a disappointingly low-resolution screen
Which is a particular shame given the extremely high price of the phone. It loses the waterproofing of the S5 and there's no microSD card slot for expanding the storage either

looks great and feels solid in hand, weighs only 115 g, fairly good AMOLED screen, really fast hardware and daily performance, good camera, not as bad on a charge as you might expect
only a 720P screen, rather small battery, no microSD card slot, gets a bit warm when pushed

A carrier exclusive, Bell is promoting the Galaxy Alpha as having an amazing screen and amazing battery life. They got it half right. But the Galaxy Alpha's positioning with the carrier is indicative of Samsung's hopes for the device, as well as its limit...
Retailing for roughly Rs. 39,000*, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha looks a little overpriced. The metal frame offers a luxurious feel and performance is at par with the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Note 3. However, considering the hardware is slightly inferior comp...
