Only Blu-ray Profile 1.0 compliant, so it will not play some bonus features on some new discs in 2008; below-average performance with 1080p output at 24 frames per second; some annoying operational issues.
The Samsung BD-P1400 delivers a mostly capable Blu-ray player at a relatively affordable price, but its probably still better to hold off for newer models or a PlayStation3.
