Unless youre a zealous early adopter whos already invested in a high-definition TV, wed recommend waiting until the format war pans out a little more, or at least until more Blu-ray Disc content is made available. ...

Blu-ray is exciting, and the Samsung BD-P1000 is an excellent introduction to it. I would just implore Samsung to upgrade the unit to provide 1080p24 output.
Firmware needs to be upgraded before use (Simple Task though), Slower load times than standard DVD Player, Gets you readdicted to watching movies again.
