The iBlast is inexpensive and solidly constructed; it can be used with non-iPod MP3 players (but you must supply the needed cable).
The iBlast doesnt bring anything new to the table; it lacks a remote; theres an audible hiss during quiet songs, and bass is almost completely lacking; lack of battery power option limits its portability.
You have many choices when looking for a portable, iPod-ready speaker. Theres no compelling reason to include the iBlast among them.
