  • Slick NAS admin UI, Highly featured, SMS alert support, High transfer speeds
  • Cheap display on the NAS, "Stations" need to be overhauled
  • The QNAP TS-509 Pro comes highly recommended — its a highly flexible NAS with an interface thats gaining usability as time goes on. Its weak point is in its add-ons — the Multimedia and Download Stations could do with a complete rework.

  • Newegg lists the QNAP TS-509 Pro at 899.00 and the Thecus N5200PRO at 749.00. From a feature standpoint both products have more or less the same functionality but ease of use and as we put on display today, performance clearly goes to the TS-509. So...

  • We wouldn’t go so far as to recommend the QNAP TS-509 Pro Turbo NAS to small business users with relatively little technical knowledge, as its price and sheer range of features mean that it remains very much a product for corporate users. However, it ...

  • High performance, Feature rich, Easy to use, Builtin power supply, Plenty of external connection options, Highly moddable, Configurable without PC
  • Expensive, Slower with huge files
  • The QNAP NAS devices use mostly the same firmware, if you like one youll like the others. Features that actually separate the models come in the hardware and the (storage) expansion options. We already knew the firmware is easy to use and full of feat...

  • It could have been a perfect ride for the QNAP TS-509 but as we deal with so many products that acquire updates over time, we have this rule we can only include what is available, no matter what. That means QPKG options at this time are not completed. Mos...
