useful focal range, very good resolution in the frame centre, slight longitudinal chromatic aberration, wellcorrected spherical aberration, low astigmatism, silent, accurate and fast autofocus, excellent stabilization
significant lateral chromatic aberration at the longest focal length, barrel distortion at wide angle and noticeable pincushion at the longer end of focal range, lack of any accessories in the box.
To be honest I wasn't especially enthusiastic about the Nikkor 18-140 mm VR before the test. Its performance and its price made me change my mind, though. The lens complements nicely the line-up of other Nikon general-purpose lenses. If you don't want to ...
