Brews single cups and carafes. Quiet. Fast.
Only works with new, Keurig-branded cups. No temperature control. Splashes a bit when brewing

The Keurig K500 offers the new option of brewing a whole pot of coffee at the touch of a button. It's easy to use, and also one of the quietest single-serving coffeemakers that we've tested
The K500 uses a scanner to lock out bargain-branded cups, as well as reusable cups and even some of Keurig's own Vue Packs
With fewer brands to choose from, Keurig 2.0 is more restrictive than the last generation, and the K500 doesn't do much to make up for it. As upgrades go, this one doesn't make sense....
