  • Lots of overclocking options, Awesome performance, Cheaper than an 870
  • No extra OC headroom
  • A nice addition to the range for enthusiasts, but not cost effective for ordinary punters.Follow TechRadar Reviews on Twitter...

  • Abstract:  The same performance would be replicated across other software which uses a similar workload so we get great multi-core performance thanks to the 4CPUs/8threads and excellent performance in applications which support fewer cores thanks to..

  • Intel's Core i7 875K and Core i5 655K are semi-interesting chips that may tickle the fancy of a few enthusiasts. The inescapable problem they face lies with the quality of sub-£200 full-retail CPUs from both Intel and AMD....

  • Core i5-655k is a ‘fun’ chip, we had so much fun overclocking it. The Core i7-875k is probably the best value for money processor Intel have released this decade. Crank it !!...

  • Abstract:  Intel’s reign of dominance in the CPU market hasn’t skipped a beat this year, and now two more processors from the Californian chip maker enter the fray aiming to catch the eye of both system builders and overclockers – namely the Core i5 655K and the...

  • Abstract:  Now our particular samples weren't exactly that great when we actually got down to overclocking. We certainly could have achieved similar results with default locked multipliers. We don't believe that Intel is binning these K-series processors for their overclokability, nor have Intel ever claimed to be doing so. Having said that, it will..

  • Abstract:  All things considered, I think Intel has a winning proposition with the introduction of these processors to the market. They offer a flexibility in overclocking that was in the past reserved for the biggest (and most expensive) dog on the block in Intel's lineup. They come in at a reasonable price point and overclock like stink. If a socket 1156 rig is in your future, then the i7 875 should be the processor for you.

  • Multiplier is unlocked, High overclocking potential
  • Only a very tiny niche can see value in this processor
  • The Intel Core i7 875K is the fastest processor for mainstream desktop computers. This socket LGA1156 processor is compatible with P55/H55/Q55 chipsets, with specifications identical to the quad-core Core i7 870. The unlocked multiplier differentiates...
