The iHome iAVS16 is a functional clock with a USB charging port and near-full Alexa functionality
Including music playback
Traffic and weather
And -- of course -- alarms. It can also wake you up by playing a Spotify playlist
Which Amazon's Echo device
The editors didn't like
The build is bulky and cluttered with a clunky-looking display and an over-abundance of buttons. It doesn't support Alexa's ESP or calling and messaging features
And it doesn't currently support voice-activated Spotify playback

Bright but dimmable display, Decent sound, Bluetooth and WiFi Audi streaming from numerous services, Alexa integration works well, Accent light for those who like such things, 2.1 amp USB charging port at the back, Can service as a speakerphone, iHome has
The accent light is annoying within a few minutes of use, Audio is good but not great, Some limitations when it comes to Alexa integration
Effective design, Amazing sound quality, Price, Easy to use once setup is done
Some issues initially setting up WiFi and correct time, Songs don't really shuffle when played from local storage, No Drop-In feature
This iHome iAVS16 alarm clock is pretty cool to have in your room to either use as an alarm clock or a music player, whichever you prefer. Having Alexa as a feature will definitely be a selling point if you have other Echo units in the house. It's a bumme...
