The editors liked

  • This is a sleek fast phone
  • That is rich in applications and functionality. It will put the iPod under pressure while leaving brands like Nokia scratching their proverbial backside.
  • Excellent design with stunning AMOLED screen. Huge range of preinstalled software. First-class web browser with Flash. HTC Sense is superb

The editors didn't like

  • The application icons should be larger and one of the three buttons on the base of the phone enabled to activate the screen.
  • Poor 5-megapixel camera. Battery needs to be managed by the user. Needs at least 8GB of internal storage

  • The HTC Desire is the best Android phone that you can buy right now, and it closely rivals (and sometimes beats) the iPhone and HD2 in terms of web browsing fidelity, performance, and more. It has a perfect interplay between hardware and software: the...

  • Great operational speed (virtually all applications), Huge screen that equates to very comfortable Internet experience, Partial Flash support, Excellent incall and audio playback quality
  • No DivX and Xvid support, Screen that is barely usable in direct sunlight
  • Let's get back to what we said at the beginning. We started the review with:„The important thing is the HTC Desire, the most powerful Android cell phone of the manufacturer to date has finally arrived and we got our hands on it.”We went on to say:„The ...

  • Great HTC Sense UI, super fast Snapdragon processor, large AMOLED screen
  • No music player equalizer, no hardware send/end call keys
  • Overall, the HTC Desire thoroughly impressed us. After recently reviewing the Windows Mobile-powered HTC HD2, we'd been crying out for a HTC handset with a Snapdragon processor that runs the Android operating system. Now it's here, and just as good as...

  • Snappy OS performanceEnhanced Sense UILarge, sharp AMOLED screen
  • Average camera qualityScreen too reflective outdoorsWeak battery life
  • The Desire is yet another fine piece of work from HTC – build quality is top notch as usual, and there's little to complain about the software except for the Flash performance. Some may argue that the Desire lacks freshness since the Nexus One's already s...

  • Abstract:  The HTC Desire is the company’s second-strike in what they hope will be a one-two sucker punch for the Android competition. Following on from the excellent HTC Legend, the Desire borrows plenty from Google’s Nexus One but packages it with HTC Sense for...

  • Abstract:  You could say we've already reviewed the HTC Desire. After all, it's essentially a jumped-up Nexus One with a few minor changes, right? Wrong. HTC Sense, Adobe Flash support and an optical trackpad make it a brand new experience.Inspired by the Nexus One...

  • Abstract:  As you’ll see from this HTC Desire review, I’m quite a fan of HTC’s latest super phone – and for good reason. HTC have raised the bar yet again with another stand-out smartphone. If you choose the Desire, you’ll be buying one of the most advanced smar...

  • Abstract:  The Desire S is a recent addition to the range of Android phones from HTC and, as a result, has benefitted from the company’s experience. It is of a nice size and feels right in the hand and, having a fast enough processor and 1G of memory will meet th...
