The editors liked
Image quality is excellent
Right up to ISO6400. The high-ISO
Low-light performance is brilliant
So even though it has an inbuilt flash it will hardly ever be needed. The kit lens is mechanically and optically outstanding.
The Fujifilm X-E2 delivers the same excellent photo quality as the X-E1
With a more streamlined design and slightly better performance
Excellent build and image quality
Built-in Wi-Fi
EVF builtin
920
000dot LCD
Faster responses
Improved AF system
The editors didn't like
The fixed LCD is a disappointment. Swivelling LCDs are so useful that omitting one at this price is regrettable. And the SD memory card cannot be accessed when the camera is on a tripod
Which again is unusual for a highclass camera
It's still not terribly fast
Especially for action
And the feature set remains relatively average. Plus you really don't want to use it for shooting video unless you're very careful about frame rates
Electronic viewfinder takes a little time to get used to
Very fast and accurate AF, Images up to ISO 6400 are very clean, Surprisingly wide dynamic range
Quick menu button a little cumbersome to reach, No manual control in video
The Fujifilm X-E2 is the first second-generation camera from the company. It doesn't come with more pixels on the sensor, but what it does do is pack phase detection in there. The AF has significantly improved and the button layout has slightly changed, w...

Quick menu button a little cumbersome to reach, No manual control in video
The Fujifilm X-E1 was a great camera that tackled almost all shooting conditions much to our satisfaction. We wished we could have gone higher than ISO 3200 sometimes and we definitely wanted a better, more robust focussing system. That is exactly what th...

Good autofocus performance, high quality kit lens, higher resolution LCD
WiFi feature could be better
With the X-E2, Fuji has taken what was good about the X-E1 and fixed its shortcomings, resulting in a much better camera overall.Again, with the elegant control scheme of the Fuji X series cameras and the remarkably good image quality, the X-E2 is the cam...
The Fujifilm X-E2 is really good for one kind of user, and really bad for others. If you enjoy going hands-on with your camera and having control at your fingertips, you'd like using the X-E2. If you want something that's really good at automatic, it's be...

Abstract: It seems retro is in right now as we've recently welcomed a number of new cameras that flaunt this style such as the Olympus OM-D E-M1 , Panasonic Lumix GM1 , and who can forget Nikon's Df . Of course we have to give credit to Fujifilm and Olympus with th...
Bigger, higher resolution screen, Sharp, clear and bright EVF, More customizable buttons, Faster autofocus speeds, Easy to use manual focusing aids, Excellent detail & color reproduction, Low noise at high ISO settings
Autofocus still lacking accuracy, Color smudges and edge halos in some shots
