  • It's going to be difficult for Tecmo Koei to top this, Dynasty Warriors 8 will need to be very different
  • These games are always a love-or-hate affair, but if you've ever enjoyed a Warriors game in its 11-odd year history, Dynasty Warriors 7 is a must buy...

  • 3D viewing capability, new online mode, increased cut scenes, strong storylines, more female characters, notable gameplay improvements especially visuals, characters are playable as they appear in the stories
  • Missed opportunity for PlayStation Move capability, action move variety, not enough strategic challenges and enemy coordination regarding AI difficulty

  • Abstract:  If ever there was a signature series to encapsulate the worst elements of iterative videogame design, then Dynasty Warriors would surely have to be in the running. Ever-present since the early years of Playstation, Koei’s free-roaming hack-and-slash ar...

  • Abstract:  When a gaming franchise launched in 1997 still continues today, you would figure that the controls have morphed over the years and gotten slight more intricate. That is certainly what you'd expect from Dynasty Warriors 7 but that's not the case. It is...

  • Abstract:  At the end of the day, the most amazing thing about Dynasty Warriors 7 is how the developers managed to squeeze so little gameplay out of so much content. Under the hood, there's really a lot to this game. Since the franchise changed genres from fighti...

  • A whopping one per cent increase over the last instalment’s score shows you just how much Dynasty Warriors 7 overcomes the fatal flaws of number six. We could say it makes it worth buying as a result BUT THAT WOULD BE A LIE. 3.2/10Print this pageCommen...

  • Horrible repetitive Renbu combat system has been dropped. Excellent narrative and portrayal of ancient Chinese legend.
  • Online co-op mode is almost hidden from view. Many characters still seem ‘Right-click/Copy/Pasted’ although less so than previous games. Repetitive combat is still an issue – but that is par for the course with this genre.
