  • Abstract:  Most people buy a multi-functional printer for their small business or home office, and use it primarily for photocopying and fax work. Consequently, they probably pay little attention to its ability to make good quality photographs, but if you haven't go...

  • Photo printing; paper handling
  • Images on plain paper, $249

  • Abstract:  The Canon Pixma MX885 is an inkjet all-in-one with USB, Ethernet and 802.11n Wi-Fi interfaces. Some features from earlier models such as the MP800R have been lost, notably disc printing and slide scanning.Unlike many inkjet all-in-ones, the MX885 has 2...

  • Highly functional device at a low price, WiFi, Ethernet or USB, Full duplexing
  • Slow printing
  • Canon's small office multifunction is something of a bargain in the features stakes, although there are a few trade-offs in utility that make that possible.

  • Canon's PIXMA MX885 is the company's best inkjet printer, and arguably the most appropriate for a small business or busy home office. Even if it's not a feature you'll use often, the inclusion of a double-sided automatic document feeder makes scanning mul...

  • Versatile printer that’s well suited to office work; excellent text, graphics and photo output
  • Five-cartridge printing means that the running costs are relatively high
  • If you need high-quality output for photo prints or eye-catching marketing materials then the MX885 will earn its keep. However, there are cheaper options available for people who just need black and white printing and occasional business graphics
