The editors liked
Incredibly polished device
Great all-purpose mobile camera
IOS 8 is fantastic
The exposure compensation control – a sun symbol on a thin line – is welcome. The integration of the new controls won't disturb the point and shooters but will delight the serious photographer. Video quality is superb and there is slow motion available.

The editors didn't like
Some specs aren't as high as they should be
Some features don't work in Australia yet
Expensive
Skin colour in bright sunlight is too ruddy
With a general tendency to oversaturate reds. RAW capture would be the icing on the cake
Still pricey
Screen too lowres
Battery life isn't much better than it is on last year's iPhone 5S. And there's wasted space
An even larger screen could have been squeezed into the same housing
Screen is larger
But not really a huge improvement
Fixed storage with no way of upgrading
Slippery
Hand-hold for thumb at the bottom is a bit of a balancing act with a phone this size
Elegant design, Exceptional display quality, Fast and reliable performance, Topnotch camera, TouchID button is more useful
Insufficient battery life, Lackluster frontfacing camera, Too little storage on default model, no microSD support, Nonreplaceable battery, Not dustor waterresistant
Apple iPhone 6 The first 4.7-inch iPhone has clearly been constructed to surpass its predecessor in quality above all else, jumping up in screen size to keep up with the Joneses but still retaining Apple's signature way of doing things. The result a de...
Abstract: Today, after a short stint in the beta process, Apple has released the iOS 8.1 update for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch . With an iOS 8.1 release here, we want to take a look at how the iOS 8.1 update is performing on the iPhone 6. This is our early iOS 8.1...
Pricing alone indicates that these two smartphones are competing head-on against one another, where it'll cost consumers $200 to pick them up on-contract. If we're to look at what they offer on paper, from a specs sheet and features set standpoint, it's a...
Right from the start of this camera comparison, we were confident that the Galaxy Note 4 was not going to disappoint. Our expectations were correct, as it turned out. Samsung's phablet and its remarkable 16MP camera got the highest final score, and it is ...
Abstract: Do you like sexy or sporty? The iPhone 6 is Apple's slimmest, sleekest smartphone yet, with curved edges that make the handset's transition into the 4.7-inch arena a graceful one. The phone's aluminum back panel has a smooth, premium-feeling finish, which...
Scenario where the iPhone 6 and Note 4 are among your considerations is not at all improbable. Sure, at its core, the bigger, 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus is a more direct competitor to Samsung's latest, but it doesn't exhaust all the possibilities that you'll ...

If you're an iPhone fan, you're going to love the iPhone 6 (more so, I think, than the iPhone 6 Plus). The size is a perfect bump up from the 4-inch iPhone 5/5s, and the design, as it usually is, is immaculate. Not the best design out there by any means, ...

Both the iPhone 6 and the Xperia Z3 are the best efforts that design juggernauts like Apple and Sony managed to come up with this season, and there's no room for disappointment with either result. Thin and stylish, they look and feel premium in the hand, ...
Abstract: The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and iOS 8 offer enough new functionality to entice existing iPhone owners to invest in an upgrade, and there's plenty to attract converts to the iPhone ecosystem too...
