The editors liked
Incredibly polished device
Great all-purpose mobile camera
IOS 8 is fantastic
The exposure compensation control – a sun symbol on a thin line – is welcome. The integration of the new controls won't disturb the point and shooters but will delight the serious photographer. Video quality is superb and there is slow motion available.
Great design
Better battery
Improved keyboard
The iPhone 6 delivers a spacious
Crisp 4.7-inch screen
Improved wireless speeds
Better camera autofocus
And bumped-up storage capacities to 128GB at the top end. iOS remains a top-notch mobile operating system with an excellent ecosystem of apps
And
A bigger iPhone
Yay! Built beautifully
Almost like the iPod Touch as a phone
Reachability (double-tap home) is a neat idea for larger phones
Fast 4G speeds
Finally
802.11ac is here! Excellent rear camera
IOS 8 now lets you exchange and replace ke
Still great for one-handed use
The nicer looking of the new iPhones
Great camera
Vibrant display
Aesthetic
Simple software
Premium aluminium body
Proficient camera modes
Great performance
Improved screen size and vibrant display
Better fitness tracking tools
Improved camera
NFC capability (eventually)
The editors didn't like
Some specs aren't as high as they should be
Some features don't work in Australia yet
Expensive
Skin colour in bright sunlight is too ruddy
With a general tendency to oversaturate reds. RAW capture would be the icing on the cake
Still pricey
Screen too lowres
Battery life isn't much better than it is on last year's iPhone 5S. And there's wasted space
An even larger screen could have been squeezed into the same housing
Screen is larger
But not really a huge improvement
Fixed storage with no way of upgrading
Slippery
Hand-hold for thumb at the bottom is a bit of a balancing act with a phone this size
Back in 2015 when the iPhone 8s launched it was a significant update, despite the fact that critics usually look upon s-updates as minor updates. The update bought some significant changes though, including 3D Touch, a much better camera, Live Photos, mor...

Abstract: Since Apple unveiled the iPhone 8 range - and in particular its eye-wateringly expensive iPhone X - the company's previous models have suddenly become much more appealing, not to mention better value. This is especially the case with the iPhone 6, Apple'...
Excellent design, Improved battery, larger, perfectly proportion display, Great imaging, Higher storage versions, iOS is a great ecosystem for apps, games and content
iOS 8 –– at the time of review –– is very buggy, Apple Pay isn't live in the UK, You need to use a protective case to stop backpanel getting scuffed
In the context of iPhones, the iPhone 6 is a HUGE step forward for Apple that addresses several key issues with previous models, namely: battery life, display size, customisation options (hello, SwiftKey), and LTE-A grade mobile data speeds. All big USP...
A lot of people still think it's acceptable to compare phones based on a spec sheet. It's not. It's about the experience, the relationship one has with a phone day after day, and that's something Apple has nailed year after year: the feeling you get when
The iPhone 6 is still a sensational handset, but not flawless. There are two issues that have to be raised, The first is the screen. It's a tricky one, as it could sound like I'm being rather hypocritical given my point about not basing a feeling about a
When I first picked up the iPhone 6 I thought this was going to be a hard review to write. Had Apple just changed the shape but kept the same inherent problems? Was there actually enough new stuff to make it a phone that really helped the company leap for...

The iPhone 7 improves on the iPhone 6 on every level. The iPhone 6 was eclipsed by the iPhone 6S, and we reckon it's now a little long in the tooth. Prices start at around £449 for a lowly 16GB model, but for the extra money you're probably better off plu...
