  • Abstract:  Video Review: The Thermaltake V9 Black Edition Case is the top of the line in the V9 series. It comes with two massive 230mm fans and two 120mm fans which provide excellent air circulation. It has great looks and is all black. There are plenty of drive bays considering this is a mid-tower case. They include removable dust filters on all intake fans. It even comes with a tooless design for installing drives in the drive bays and cards in the expansion slots. Bang for the buck, this case rocks! Although it's steel and plastic, not aluminum and the motherboard tray isn't removable. Watch the video to find out more...

  • Excellent airflow, Cable management, Nearly toolfree installation, Low noise levels
  • Large heatsinks such as the TRUE and Noctua NHU12P will not fit, Expansion cards aren’t secured well, Weak back panel
  • Despite a few minor flaws, the Thermaltake V9 Black Edition is a very good case. There is plenty of room for expansion, cable management is very good, and airflow is excellent. While large heatsinks such as the TRUE and Noctua NH-U12P are a no-go, ...

  • Nicely made, Extra cooling ventilation on the right side, Lots of room, Almost completely toolless
  • Filters are hard to get at, Toolless locks aren’t the greatest especially for large, heavy video cards, No fan grills
  • The Thermaltake V9 Black Edition Gaming Chassis is a nice case overall, it has a spacious interior and plenty of room for storage and expansion. The V9 is also well made, it seems sturdy but yet lightweight with a nice design with attention to aesthet...

  • Thermaltake have done an excellent job with the V9 Black Edition gaming case. The amount of fans is superb and all provide great cooling with low noise. There's plenty of room to work within the case, lots of expansion ports and it is also quite easy ...

  • Price, Style, Big Fans, Toolless ODD and HDD, Very Impressive Cooling
  • Expansion Slot ToolLess, No eSATA
  • Overall the Thermaltake V9 Black Edition Gamer Chassis is the best mid-tower case I have ever seen and in my time as a gamer and a reviewer I have used well over 50 cases not including other friends cases. This little case for its price dominates the ...

  • Thermaltake has done it again. Theyve created a perfect blend of mainstream looks and high end performance with the V9 Black Edition Chassis. I can see this housing being used for a serious gaming rig. Slap a couple graphics cards in here along with ...

  • Good looks, Great cooling, All black powder coat, Pretty quiet, Relatively inexpensive, Roomy for a midtower, Four included fans, 230mm side fan
  • Tool free features could use some work, Overall flimsy design, Feet should be taller, Limited front ports, Fourpin fan connectors = no monitoring or speed control, Front intake fan restriction
  • Thermaltake has indeed improved on their V9 chassis. The new, improved V9 Black Edition has a bit better cooling performance, which was still pretty good in the V9. Unfortunately, they chose not to do anything about the numerous issues I had with the...

  • Good airflow, Black powder coating inside, Two 230mm fans, Quiet
  • Tool free PCI not very secure
  • Ill admit Im a junky for full tower cases as I love all the room they have to offer. With that being said I was quite pleased overall with the mid tower V9 Black Edition. I never felt cramped or had to contort my hands while assembling the PC. The tw...

  • Great style and appearance, Rotated 90 degree HDD Cage, Toolless design, Huge 230mmm top exhaust fan, Option 70mm fan location to vent hot air trapped behind the motherboard, Option to replace the front 120mm case fan with a 140mm fan
  • Case can only accommodate a graphics card up to 9.6" long, HDD Cage design blocks most of the air coming from the front case fan.
  • This case certainly has some great styling and its red and black combination is stunning. If your in the market for a well designed, sturdy case then this one might be just right for you. However, we would have liked to have seen the chassis be painte...
