The editors didn't like
The camera isn't as good as Sony would like us to believe
Neither is the battery life – power users need to carry a power pack or have a charger on hand
Inexcusable pauses and slowdowns
Despite updates in the interim

Only minor updates from its predecessor means it lacks the excitement of its rivals. Its waterproofing no longer allows for full submersion

Even with strong specs befitting a high-end phone, the Sony Xperia Z5 adds little over its predecessor to make it an exciting option over rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge...

I love the new design. It's a great improvement on the clear glass back and sharp edges of the Xperia Z2. The Z5 is lighter, it's thinner, and the frosted glass back is nothing short of gorgeous. I think it's up in the realms of the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6
It still gets too hot – the Xperia Z3+ was unbearable and though this is much better it's still not good enough. Playing a game for an hour shouldn't make the phone unholdable, and Sony needs to rethink the processor for the Xperia Z6, I really would have
If you're going to buy a Sony phone, make it this one. The Xperia Z5 is the best phone Sony has ever produced and it's up there as one of the best Android phones on the market right now. After the abomination that was the Xperia Z3+, it would have been eas...
For some, the Xperia Z5 will have come far too soon after the launch of the Z3+, but for me, it can't have come soon enough. While it's slightly disappointing that Sony continues to persist with the same screen size and resolution, the display itself is t...
Abstract: In the design of the unit, Sony has opted to make use of all four sides of the handset when it comes to the positioning of the various connection points and control options. Situated in the top left corner is a 3.5mm jack socket for attaching a headset de...
There's no doubt that the Xperia Z5 is a solid flagship smartphone from Sony and an improvement on the Z3+. We certainly like the new frosted glass rear cover and the addition of a fingerprint scanner in that slim power button. The camera isn't great comp...
