The editors didn't like
Chunky design
Fiddly UI in places
Button placement can be pretty frustrating
Size and shape makes the phone hard to hold
Glass back is a worry
”Superior Auto” camera mode is far from it
It often thinks of surfaces as slip ‘n slides
Can be unwieldy
Glass front and rear durable but remains questionable
Overheating concerns while recording video
Bundled Sony apps overlap with one another to the point of redundancy
Big in size
It's expensive
Its regular autofocus adjustments during shooting can spoil videos
And the camera resolution is throttled when using the full automatic mode
The rectangular size can still be a little awkward to hold
Especially for smaller hands
Camera's manual mode needs some actual manual control

Camera software could still use some tweaking. A few design and software annoyances. Highend competitors offer similarly wellrounded packages.
As its predecessor, the Sony Xperia Z2 is an excellent cameraphone and a worthy competitor to the best shooters out there. Sony's flagship performed commendably in most of our tests, outrunning all of the challengers but the Galaxy S5. Failures weren't...

All in all small changes compared to the predecessor, More potential in regard of gaming (PlayStation), Stability of the case could be better, GPS not always reliable, High power consumption, Speakers just average, Interesting accessories, Comparatively h
After only seven months a new model appears, can there be any big changes? Sony actually managed to (slightly) improve on the Xperia Z1 in some critical areas The Z2 panel is significantly better compared to the Xperia Z1, but still not quite as good as t...
The Xperia Z2 feels like the superior device in this battle of the 5.2-inch Android flagship phones. It’s got a sleek style to both its outwards appearance and software, a great overall performance, great camera and a super long lasting battery. The LG...
Abstract: Sony's flagship refresh in the Xperia Z2 entered the scene just recently, offering a level of refinement that exceeds the company's previous efforts. The Z2 is more polished, powerful, and feature-full than ever. Obviously, however, the competition is ...
Sony's best yetThe Xperia Z2 isn't a revolutionary product for Sony, but that's by no means a bad thing. Having consistently improved upon the Xperia Z formula over the past twelve months, the manufacturer didn't need to go back to the drawing board just...
It's often hard to produce a decisive winner in match-ups like this one. Simply put, both the Sony Xperia Z2 and Samsung Galaxy S5 offer true, no-compromise flagship experience. But they have their caveats and nuances. The Sony Xperia Z2 is arguably the...
Price-wise, the Sony Xperia Z2 and the HTC One (M8) rank among the most expensive smartphones money can buy right now, right along with other flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the iPhone 5s. But they're worth their price, given all the great fea...

Since it's not yet available from a national carrier here in the States, grabbing an unlocked Xperia Z2 is guaranteed to take a hefty bite out of your wallet. But if you have the means (including the added cost of a protective case made of something mo...
