Will Sony make a dedicated Google TV on the back of this box's success, or will Apple's much-discussed app-laden iTV ultimately consign the whole idea to history? The swelling of Goolge TV-centric apps in Google Play could be the platform's saviour, but t...

Sony's debut Google TV device in Australia is effective at bringing Web browsing to the big screen -- the Chrome browser works very well. The Google Play app store claims thousands of apps, but few are appealing. Some of the best Google TV apps - HBO G...

The Sony NSZ-GS7 has sleek hardware and an innovative remote, but it's hampered by the still too-limited and frustrating Google TV software....

Well-designed remote. Plenty of functionality. Lots of online services and apps.
Not as polished or intuitive as other media hubs. Finding good apps requires combing through many not-so-great ones
The Sony Internet Player With Google TV (NSZ-GS7) is one of the better ways to get Google TV on your HDTV, even if the platform itself still suffers from a lack of polish....
Abstract: Video Review: Sony's Internet Player with Google TV allows anyone to watch television and search the Internet with its a full QWERTY keyboard remote, Internet apps, Google Search, Chrome browser and more. Matt Mira and Michael Kosta test out the device...
Abstract: Better Picture Quality and Performance I tested a number of videos on my 46-inch Samsung 6100 Series LCD and saw that the Sony handled each better than other media streaming devices, including the Vizio Co-Star. These videos were streamed from the same so...
Abstract: To see if so-called Google TV 2.0 is worthy of another try, we decided to put one of the newest devices - Sony's NSZ-GS7 streaming media player - to the test. But just as we were about to finalize testing, we also got our hands on Vizio's new Co-Star, whi...
Much better performance than previous models, Full featured remote with backlit keys, Easy set up, Lots of media codecs
A good bit of Internet content is still blocked from Google TV users, No easy way to play purchased Google Play movies, At $299, it's more expensive than many other options, That full-feature remote has a confusing layout
If you're a Google TV fan, it's time to upgrade to newer hardware. Do it for the video quality, do it for the games, do it for better browsing. Not much else has changed, as Google TV still seems to be just a hair short of being fabulous. If you're not a...
Doublesided controller has a clickable touchpad and can function as a universal remote. Quick startup. Ports galore, including Ethernet, two USB, digital optical out, HDMI in and out, and an IR blaster. Will play content from external drives
There are better streaming boxes for less than half the price. Web browsing on a TV is still not fun. Glitchy software means that Google TV is still not ready for prime time
