  • Abstract:  After Buzz and I met with James from Sony Ericsson last week, I got all excited about the . Basically it’s a tiny little device – about the size of a 50c coin (although it’s a good deal thicker – about as thick as four-five such coins) – that, via blu...

  • Abstract:  The Sony LiveView smartwatch has a sleek, modern design. With just a few buttons and touch commands, it is relatively simple to use, and at just over half an ounce, you'll barely notice its weight. Particularly useful is its touted ability to be removed f...

  • Works with any phone running Android 2.0 or greater. Fun to use for a few minutes, assuming you can get it working.
  • Clumsy pairing and installation procedure. Requires two separate Android apps in order to work. Wrist strap is tough to assemble. Ugly. Unreliable. Facebook polling is too infrequent. Lots of OS lag.
  • More geek than chic, the homely Sony Ericsson LiveView is a half-hearted attempt at a wireless remote control for your Android phone; stay away from this one. Buy it now...

  • Versatile functionality, Small and lightweight, Call / text alerts work very well
  • Entirely dependent on phone to work, Poor plugin support, Stability issues
  • Suffice to say, the Sony Ericsson LiveView isn't great across the board. The functions Sony Ericsson have perfected in their MBW range work well (text / call alert and music control), however, most of the additions feel like a bit of an afterthought, m...

  • The concept behind the LiveView is brilliant: offsetting alerts and updates to a secondary screen, allowing you to keep on top of them without having to constantly pull out your phone. That demands consistency, however, and it’s there that the LiveVie...

  • Pretty affordable compared to similar productsUseful for monitoring feeds and messagesProvides basic control for Android's music player
  • Unstable connection and buggy softwareNo official Gmail supportNeeds phone to obtain time after every boot up
  • You know that feeling when you were promised a pet monkey for birthday, only to realize that your dad actually meant a little bottle of sea monkeys? That's the same disappointment we got from the LiveView. Seriously, SE had a lot of potential here, only t...

  • Good price, good idea, good screen but let by down by the design (bulky, cheap plastic) and the lack of software expansion. However, it's good to see that Sony Ericsson ironed out a lot of the initial problems. Get it from Amazon for £42.99...

  • LiveView is quite a clever idea. But the software needs an overhaul to deal with crashing and loss of pairing, and it's something else that you have to remember to keep charged, and yet another thing to carry. And really, what's the problem with doing ...
