The programmable lensconcentric ring is an excellent feature
Particularly when used for manual focus with focus aids turned on for enlargement and focus peaking. Image quality is good
With one exception (see below). 4K video is brilliant.
Great video features to supplement its 4K capabilities distinguish the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 IV from the rest of the advanced-compact pack. It also retains the nice design perks

The editors didn't like
We found that using the Standard picture profile with default settings resulted in gross oversaturation of reds
With colour bleeding overwhelming all fine detail. We changed to Neutral and wound saturation down two notches and that improved things
But t
Like its predecessor
The autofocus system could be more consistent and the battery life has gotten even worse
Google is holding a competition that could see your Pixel photos gracing millions of screens. Nikon's 100th birthday party continues worldwide as a distributor in Italy organized a one-of-a-kind feat: assembling the world's largest 'human camera' from ov...

Abstract: The enthusiast compact market has exploded over the last couple of years, with several manufacturers offering a product with 1"-type sensors. Most of these cameras are small (and sometimes pocketable) and feature fast (but short) lenses. They also vary in...
If you can stomach the high price tag, my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 IV digital camera review shows an outstanding compact camera that simply destroys most similarly sized fixed lens cameras in terms of image quality, overall performance levels, and — espe...
The Sony RX100 IV continues to be my favourite compact camera to date. It beats a mirrorless camera except for the flexibility of interchangeable lens, the larger sensor size for better image details. Other than that, the RX100 IV performs exceedingly wel...

working with the RX100 IV is a pleasure. It shoots excellent images in Auto mode, though it does offer full manual controls as well. Sharpness is excellent in the default 24mm f1.8 mode, as can be seen in the dog hairs in the example below. There's also...

4K video shooting up to 960 fps, Super slow and super-speed shooting, Great bright condition & low light condition shooting, High speed continuous shooting at 16 fps, 180 degrees tiltable LCD Screen
Poor auto-focus system due to lack of touchscreen, Poor battery life, Unable to shoot in raw in certain camera settings
The RX100 IV takes superbly vivid, crisp and striking images that can match up to and in some cases surpass even high end DSLRs. It shoots real 4K video and is the world's first camera to have a 1.0-type stacked CMOS image sensor. The camera has a large...
Abstract: While most of the cameras in this category fall within the relatively narrow $500-$800 range (with a few exceptions), products in this roundup vary quite a bit in terms of sensor size, number and type of control points, zoom range, video capabilities and...

Abstract: When applied to humans, the word “character” has two distinct meanings, an oddball or eccentric as in “Fred is a real character” or a morally upstanding person, as in “Charlie is a man of unimpeachable character.” When it comes to machines created by huma...
Simply put, the Sony RX100 IV is the best pocket camera money can buy today. Of course, it takes a lot of money to buy this camera, which is probably the only criticism that I have for the RX100 IV. At $950 retail, the potential audience is somewhat limit...

Although the increase in sensor performance is evolutionary rather than revolutionary, it's still significant. The new stacked design (and accompanying processor) has allowed some remarkable increases in frame rates both with 4K capture and Full HD, notab...
