The Sony Alpha 6000 has seriously fast continuous shooting for the money
And its design improves upon its predecessor's already excellent one. Plus it's got an extensive feature set
The editors didn't like
No touchscreen
Screen not fully articulated
The smartphone connection is not as smooth or comprehensive in operation as the best from Panasonic and Olympus
The movie record button remains annoying
And while it delivers excellent photo quality
It's not best-in-class in low light. It's also slow on startup

If you told me two years ago that for less than $600 I could get my hands on a mirrorless camera that not only compares to most DSLRs in terms of features, functionality and image quality, but beats many of them, I would of thought you were crazy. To me...
Abstract: If the Sony A7R is a champion heavyweight in its prime, the Sony A6000 is the scrappy younger brother with a leaner frame, faster feet and a few tricks up its sleeve that big brother hasn't bothered to learn.Having spent almost a year with the A7R as my m...

Sony's a6000 is a terrific all-purpose camera. Priced just above entry-level DSLRs, its advantage in size and weight over those cameras justifies the extra bucks. Compared with other ILCs in this price range, the a6000 offers detailed images, a great cont...
