The editors didn't like
Unlike Bluetooth speakers
The Sonos system can't stream from every app on your phone or tablet -- so there's no support for iTunes Radio
For instance. The lack of a built-in battery limits room-to-room mobility
Light on bass
$299
Requires AC power (no battery)
No 3.5mm audio jack
Midrange can become muddy
Quite heavy
Living rooms will want two
Sonos app can feel limiting
Setup could be easier
Can't stream to the speaker
No battery included in the unit
Requires the Sonos Bridge
Which means first time buyers can't just spend the initial price to gain access into the Sonos system
Impressively weighty, Punchy and dynamic sound, Smooth, simple set-up,
No physical connections, No high-res, No voice assistant,
If you thought time would have aged the Play:1, think again. It remains a great-sounding wireless speaker, and a decent passage into multi-room for those on a tight budget. Other rivals have emerged, and the Audio Pro Addon C3 is a worthy alternative, but...
Abstract: Meet the Sonos PLAY:1 Tone, a limited edition version of Sonos' littlest speaker that has only 5,000 units available across the globe in either black or white matte finishes, and it looks as minimalistic as they come. At £220, it comes at a premium of £51...
Abstract: When it comes to wireless audio streaming Sonos sets the benchmark. The company has been the top multiroom dog for over a decade thanks to its consistently good products and ease of use. But there are some aspects of the Sonos system that warrant improvem...
Easy set up, you don't have to be technical to do this at all. Fantastic sound and a heavy, solid feel to the kit
There's an annoying white light on the top, but these can be switched off via the controller, If you are looking for a quality music streaming system that is easily extended and has a range of components to suit your needs, I'd definitely recommend Sonos,

Abstract: Sonos has introduced a special edition of its smallest wireless speaker, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the legendary record label Blue Note jazz specialist. The new Sonos Blue Note PLAY:1, as it is called, is presented as a limited edition of PLAY...
In the retail unit costs about 16,000 rubles, in my opinion, is insignificant price for the column with such capabilities. It can be used as a standalone device, you can use two and a TV or computer, you can put in a small room in the house. For example...
Abstract: What I can wholly vouch for, though, is that Sonos engineers superlative one-box stereo speakers, and its latest entry-level model, the diminutive (16.2cm x 12cm x 12cm) Play 1, is no exception. It sounds almost frighteningly good, with amazing presence, ...
Abstract: Flexson, a company specialising in Sonos accessories, has introduced ColourPlay to the UK, a simple way to change the colour schemes of Sonos speakers and other kit to spruce them up or match your home. With the Sonos Play:1 being a massive success story...
Abstract: Sonos has been one of the top dogs in wireless audio for some time, where its stylish Play:3 and Play:5 speakers lend themselves perfectly to multiroom use. The beauty of Sonos's proprietary system is that you can have as many speakers as you like running...
