I have to applaud the lengths to which Samsung has gone to in order to try and make the thing feel useful. This is not a device for people who struggle with applications but for those who love cool devices

The editors didn't like
The ridiculous number of features and the $999 price tag mean this is a serious invest and what I would have liked is a free cover to hide the plastic back
The ridiculous number of features and the $999 price tag mean this is a serious invest and what I would have liked is a free cover to hide the plastic back.
Screen DPI set too high
Fonts and icons are too large
Notification UI is a mess and needs to be fixed
Samsung's Android customisations may delay updates
Price compared to the competition
Many TouchWIZ features are gimmicks
Gallery app is sluggish
Tricky to hold
Expensive
S Pen still limited
Tacky plastic rear
TouchWiz needs a refresh. High price
More plastic casing
Even if it does have a nicer back than other Galaxy devices
Features the same bugs and crashes from this year's Galaxy-based smartphones in the Australian region (sigh)

The iPhone 6 Plus is Apple's first foray into the phablet borderland, and it impresses on most counts. It brings everything you can expect from an iPhone in a much larger package – the build is as premium as ever, and the screen is bright and very accurat...
Abstract: Over the past hours, we've brought you comparisons between Apple's new iPhones and the Galaxy S5 , HTC One (M8) , and the LG G3 . Now it's time for another quick look, and this time we have two heavyweights in the ring: the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy No...
Abstract: I have been always a fan of the Samsung Galaxy Note phablet series since the original version released 2 years ago. In my experience, those are the best Android smartphones ever, even better than their brothers, the Galaxy S series. Therefore, I almost did...
Knowing that the LG G2 had an outstanding camera, we expected nothing short of great results from its successor. And sure enough, the LG G3 did not leave us disappointed with its 13MP camera. The snapper is about as capable as those on the current leaders...
At the end of the day, we think it is clear to see that the LG G3 has a lot going for it. It is well worthy of its flagship status, and anyone who chooses to own it isn't likely to be disappointed. But now that we've stacked it up against the Samsung Gala...
The Xperia Z2 feels like the third step of a longer journey that Sony started early last year with the Xperia Z. It’s a gradual evolution, in hardware and software design, with more polished looks, faster chips, and overall better performance, and this...

With this lengthy comparison behind us, do we dare claim we have enough to arrive at a verdict? Sure, but it's not as simple as that.It would be easy to say that, beyond size considerations, the Galaxy S5 is the better overall device of the two, but si...
