The editors liked

  • The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro's gigantic bright screen serves as an unhampered stylus pen canvas. The included apps and software features trump anything you'll find on a pure Android tablet. MicroSD storage expansion is a welcome plus.
  • Large
  • Bright screen
  • Improved Samsung UI
  • Decent camera
  • Classleading performance
  • Improved software
  • Supreme stylus functionality
  • Incredible screen

The editors didn't like

  • The Note Pro's laggy performance when running multiple apps at once limits its usefulness as a workstation replacement. And with a $750 starting price
  • Only power tablet users need apply. Writing on the screen doesn't feel as smooth as with the Galaxy Not
  • Creaky build quality
  • Unwieldy form factor
  • UI doesn't beat stock Android
  • Expensive
  • Size isn't for everyone
  • Some people could find its 750g weight too much

  • Superb large screen, Good battery life, Excellent pen, based features
  • Awkward to use as a traditional tablet, Not always practical, Expensive
  • The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is in a class of its own in terms of both features and size. It's extremely capable and I found it a pleasure to use. Then again, I couldn't pop it into a small bag to whip it out for a bit of idle web browsing on the bus....

  • Beautiful big screen, powerful processor, slim build, stylus is even better on the big screen
  • On the heavy side, no dedicated stand and keyboard
  • The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro is designed for power users and with its size, weight and price, it won't be for everybody. But that gorgeous screen, powerful processor and huge range of features, including the well-integrated S-Pen make it an impressive ch...

  • Large, bright screen, Improved Samsung UI, Decent camera, Class, leading performance
  • Creaky build quality, Unwieldy form factor, UI doesn't beat stock Android, Expensive
  • As the first significant manufacturer to step forward with its vision of a super-sized tablet, Samsung has quite a job on its hands to convince the world that there is a genuine need, and that this isn't just a gimmick. If nothing else, the Samsung Galax...

  • Big screen, Very powerful, Long battery life
  • Too expensive, UI is sometimes clunky, Heavy and awkward to hold
  • The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is in many ways a very impressive device. It's extremely powerful, excellent for multitasking, has great battery life and with that big screen and S Pen it's a digital artists dream. However we'd argue that it's a little to...

  • Four window multi-tasking, Strong business apps and features, Fantastic battery life
  • Big and heavy, sometimes too much, Screen is beaten by rivals, No attachable keyboard
  • Kitchen tablet, maybe. Coffee table tablet, sure. Conference room tablet, definitely. A take-anywhere, whisper ‘goodnight' to tablet? Not really. Or at least - not yet. What's it good for? Multi-tasking, viewing documents, conferencing and catching up w...

  • Large sized and sharp screen, S Pen a great productivity aid, robust enterprise application offering, powerful processor, decent battery life
  • Magazine UX may confuse some users, relatively expensive
  • The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2's robust business-focused software offering and top-end hardware justify its high starting price....
