The touch screen – the only access to camera controls – is intuitive and responsive
Although we did find it stuck on a couple of occasions. Being Android based file management is excellent – simply plug it into a PC (or a Mac using the Android file manag
Vivid 4.8in rear display is largest ever on a digital camera
Can connect to the internet direct from the camera via any available Wi-Fi network
21x optical zoom offers plentiful framing options for 16 megapixel stills or Full HD video

This camera is good
Really good. The software and management features are significantly ahead of traditional camera brands and the fact that it comes with a full blown Jelly Bean OS
1.4GHZ quad core processor is an advantage. 3G and Wi Fi are also thro
Excellent touchscreen. All the benefits of Android and associated apps. 3G connectivity. Range of video recording frame rates
Including low-res 120fps. 21x optical zoom
Great combination of technology
You can use it to send and receive SMS
Macro ability is actually decent
Long lens
The editors didn't like
The touch screen is super sensitive and it is easy to accidentally take photos. Fortunately they don't cost anything but they are time wasters when sorting through pictures
Easy to get lost in the flashy features and forget that this is actually a camera too
Asking price is high for a camera of only snapshot quality
Removable media is the small and fiddly microSD
Larger than the average pocket snapshot too
$599
What's missing is accessories such as a decent camera case or mini tripod. A slot for a hot swap flash would also be an advantage especially if you want to use a stronger flash with its own battery pack.
Short battery life. Overall photo quality is OK
But may not be worth the price for some users
Battery life is poor
Reasonbly bulky
Not exactly the fastest camera to switch on
Proprietary HDMI port
Many apps aren't really designed for a camera with optical zoom
Android 4.1 interface is excellent, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity on the camera make uploading images a breeze, Excellent detail rendition, especially in macro mode
Images a little soft, especially at the telephoto end, The touch-only access to shooting modes tends to slow one down
Galaxy Camera is Samsung's attempt to strap a camera-sized sensor onto the Galaxy S III, whilst stretching it out a little. We received this camera not in a box made of cardboard, but in a case made of doubt and disbelief. We had very little faith in this...
Good image, quality and several camera features, 21x Optical zoom, Amazing display, Runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS support, microSD expansion
Huge and bulky to carry in pocket, Mediocre battery life,
If you want a camera with additional features such as apps, option uploading photos online and watching videos, this is a good choice. There are several point and shoot cameras in the range including the Samsung NX1000 with WiFi support and Sony RX100,...
Abstract: The chunky Galaxy Camera does pretty much everything your phone does except make calls. Dropbox integration gives you auto uploads of full-res images, filter apps such as Instagram work with the shutter button, and it's got enough power to run proper game...

Abstract: After the official launch in November, the Samsung Galaxy Camera was launched with some fanfare in Malaysia last month with dance performances, a briefing by Samsung Malaysia Mobile Product Manager Victor Ng, and a photo-sharing competition to show off th...
3G, smhee Gee, I admit, I hardly even used the 3G connectivity. With such a small battery on board, the last thing you want is have something else to drain it out and connecting to 3G is one of them. Sure, it'll be fun to upload images instantly right aft...
Good image quality, Android functionality, 3G connectivity
Middling lowlight performance
The Samsung GALAXY Camera is not just a good camera, it's an almost all-in one gadget thanks to the fact that it runs Android's latest operating system and a powerful quad-core processor. Low light performance could be better, though.(previously publishe...

Bulky, Sluggish camera and gallery apps, No 2G and GSM for reverse compatibility
The new breed of these smart cameras are quite a necessary evolution; sales of the point-and-shoot cameras have been dwindling in recent years especially since Apple released the iPhone 3GS with its 3MP camera. I mean just look at Flickr's ‘Most popular c...
