  • Abstract:  The Panasonic PT-AX200U is a three-panel LCD projector with 720p resolution. Although 720p is not as high a resolution as 1080i (converts to 1080p by the projector), the difference is minimal depending on how large your screen is and how far away you ...

  • Abstract:  We couldnt wait to get our hands on the Panasonic PT-AX200E. We opened the box and got fairly dissapointed. OK OK it wasnt bad but it wasnt anough of a change in my book. The unit has the same specifications and features as the AX100. The difference...

  • Abstract:  Since we posted the review of the Panasonic PT-AX200, many have been asking how it stacks up against the formidable Sanyo PLV-Z5. Both of these models are 720p resolution LCD projectors and they are selling for similar prices, so putting them side by side...

  • Abstract:  I experienced a sense of deja vu when I opened up the PT-AX200U projector, took some photos and set it up in my theater room. The chassis and feel of the unit was nearly identical to the PT-AX100U I had reviewed last year. In fact, the only physical di...

  • Abstract:  Weve had the pleasure of working with the AX200U and it looks to be another winner from Panasonic. Of particular note is its outstanding display of HD movies from HD DVD and Blu-ray. Believe it or not, even though the display is native 720p resolution, th...

  • Pluses, Design & handling, Video noise very well handled, Very good DVD upscaling to 720p, Quiet dynamic iris, 27.5 dB recorded when in operation
  • Minuses, Price a little high for a 720p projector, Matrix visible very occasionally, Uneven picture sharpness not great for office computing

  • Abstract:  The AX200 isn't wholly without appeal, as we'd expect of a Panasonic projector. Its pictures are bright (so much so that it can be used in ambient light), its colours are really vibrant and pure, and its images look unusually satisfying with most console games.

  • Simple set-up. Punchy, dynamic colours. Good contrast levels and insight
  • Not a Full HD spec. Occasional lattice effect apparent
  • So old it can get a free bus pass, but still great value and for the most part doesn’t show its age in any way ...
