  • Abstract:  On the downside, as well as the build quality issues raised earlier, the HD20's images can judder quite a bit during camera pans, and there's definitely evidence, again, of the dreaded rainbow effect. Though this is markedly less pronounced than it is on the BenQ model, and so is seldom really distracting.

  • As a budget projector, the HD20 is not without compromises. Setup options are a little limited: There’s no optical lens shift or keystone correction and certainly no motorised zoom or focus. Most of these features can be had on competing projectors...

  • Good picture quality. Ridiculously good value. Full HD resolution. Decent connectivity
  • Flimsy build quality. Some rainbow effect. Rather noisy runner. No optical image shift. Motion judder
  • It’s ugly and a little flawed, but the HD20 produces by far the best picture we’ve seen at this price point ...

  • Abstract:  Yes, yes, I know. By reviewing the HD20 today, I've now looked at three projectors in a row, without a TV in sight. Apologies if this has aggravated anyone. But honestly, as I noted in my previous review of Sony's VPL-HW15 , there are simply so many hot p...

  • Breakthrough price for a 1080p projector. Reasonably high-quality image for 480p and above.
  • Falls down a bit on image quality for 480i (standard-definition) television signals.
