The editors liked
The image quality is not diminished in any way by comparison with the E-M5. The Olympus JPEG quality is still there and the RAW output is brilliant. The Olympus Viewer 3 is still the best bundled RAW converter and image editor

High quality EVF
Excellent image quality
Compact metal body
Compact design. Very similar image quality to the rest of the OM-D range. Built-in Wi-Fi. Fast autofocus. Competitively priced compared to an SLR
The editors didn't like
Our right thumb is not large but it still managed to accidentally push the Menu button
Which is too close to the camera thumb rest
Our right thumb is not exceptionally large but it still managed to accidentally push the Menu button which is too close to the camera thumb rest
Tilting rather than variangle screen
Not weathersealed
No batterygrip
No weather sealing like other OM-D cameras. Hand grip is quite small
Might be a challenge for larger hands. Rear dial is not always comfortable to reach. AF can very occasionally hit the wrong target

The E-M10 is aesthetically brilliant. It's small but still retains a great viewfinder and set of manual controls for experienced photographers. The 3-axis image stabilization is a killer feature, and is almost as good as the 5-axis system you'll find on m
The top dials can feel a bit cramped when using the viewfinder. Larger lenses may cause the camera to feel too front-heavy with not enough grip. The lack of weather sealing prevents it from being perfect for travel. The price is a bit too close to other m
I would love to argue for the E-M10 to be a great all-around deal because it is so much fun to hold and shoot with. However, when you look closely at the $700 price-point, its hard to make the case. The Panasonic GX-7 is $750 for the body on Amazon right...

Small yet fullfeatured, dual control dials make it easy to switch settings, builtin WiFi
No microphone input
Overall, the E-M10 is an excellent camera for the price — it's well-featured and gives you a lot of control, all in a very small package.Image quality is also up to the usual Olympus standards, which means you get excellent quality especially within the...

Awkward Power switch, New kit lens awkward to zoom
The Olympus OM-D E-M10 comes in at entry-level price but offers much more than any entry-level camera we've seen yet. A responsive rear monitor and electronic viewfinder, built-in 3-axis image stabilization, excellent image quality, great handling, built-...
Seeing that the E-M10 comes with an electronic viewfinder as well as the latest image processor from Olympus, we feel that the OM-D E-M10's retail price will have a strong influence over how well it does in the market. The E-M10 does feel like a competent...
