  • Overall this is a super drive, if you are (like I was) running an older SATA II SSD it's well worth the upgrade to a current SATA III model (check if your motherboard supports SATA III first, especially if it's an old one) Prices are nice and affordable a...

  • Samsung's 850 Pro SSDs are without a doubt the fastest SSDs of this moment. Given that this product does not seem to have any flaws, we heartily recommend it to those who are looking for the fastest possible SSD. The Vector 150 and AMD Radeon R7 SSDs ar...

  • Ultrahigh speeds when there's free space on the drive, Fouryear warranty, Cloning software included, 2.5" to 3.5" adapter included
  • Speeds fall dramatically when the drive is almost full, Heavier than most SSDs
  • Like all SSDs with a Barefoot controller, the Radeon R7 runs at two speeds. They're extra-high when there's free space left on the drive, but they drop considerably when it's nearly full. But, at the end of the day, this is still a great SSD....

  • none, Neutral, The write speeds in the 4K area could be improved, AMD Radeon R7 240GB Solid State Review,
  • PricingThe AMD Radeon R7 Solid State Drive has a mixed target group, and in a way it manages to hit them all. The drive will speak to many, gamers, AMD fans and enthusiasts alike and it comes with the well known, fair AMD price versus performance point. W...

  • Exceptional performance, IOPS is class leading, incompressible equals compressible, strong bundle
  • Expensive.
  • While OCZ seem to have a somewhat tarnished reputation with many readers on our Facebook page, Kitguru still rates the Barefoot 3 controller highly – We have never had one of the Barefoot 3 controlled drives fail. The R7 SSD delivers fantastic incompressi...

  • NOTE: Full Performance figures can be found after the conclusion This is not the first time AMD have expanded their product lines by working with a 3rd party. Their Radeon gaming memory for example, which we often use in our review systems, is produced wi...

  • The R7-series SSDs could have been a huge risk for AMD. So many companies have dipped their toes into the SSD game but very few have actually succeeded in offering any points of differentiation and as a result failed to achieve critical sales mass. By par...
