  • Moderate learning curve, especially with commands. Pricey. Less flexible than Windows version
  • Dragon Dictate 3 for Mac is, as the name might suggest, a choice tool for dictation. While it does offer voice control too, that's not its primary selling point, and on the Mac the built-in tools work just fine....

  • Improves on earlier versions, Accurate speech recognition, Twitter and Facebook functionality, Allows iOS devices to work as wireless microphone, Compatible with OS X Lion and Word 2011
  • Still expensive
  • Dragon Dictate 2.5 is a vast improvement over its MacSpeech predecessors. The voice-recognition is leaps and bounds more accurate in this latest version. Although it still struggles with certain words I found the experience to be much smoother with Dr...

  • Accurate and effective; fairly quick to set up; unique product
  • Relatively expensive; hard to remember all the commands; some performance problems
  • If you have problems with a mouse and keyboard this application will enable you to continue using your Mac. This latest version is full of improvements, the main one being its increased accuracy and the speed with which it can be trained
