The Surface 2 is a fabulous device and the more we used it the better it got.It looks pretty good, has a eye-pleasing screen and is super-fast. On it's downside we found the Windows 8.1 operating system slightly overcomplicated. The lack of apps are an iss...
Type Cover is outstanding, Good battery life, Very good colour, contrast and brightness, Slick, fast and responsive
Windows RT still confusing in places, Dreadful speakers, Too few quality tablet apps
The Surface 2 is good tablet if you must have the full Office experience on the go, but for anyone else there are better options out there.Next, cast your vote in the TrustedReviews Awards 2013...
At first glance, there's not much difference between the Surface 2 and its predecessor. Aside from the slight colour change (it's now got a silver finish), it's still pretty much the same as the rest of the Surface family: an attractive, minimal, solid tablet with a pop-out kickstand. It’s slimmer and lighter than the first model though, measuring up at a svelte 8.89mm thick, while the kickstand
The Surface 2 still isn't sure what it's supposed to be. It's a tablet/laptop hybrid that wants to be both, but only partially succeeds in either. While Office is bundled, it's not a touch-optimised version, meaning you'll have to use either the Touch or Type Covers to get work done - making it more laptop than tablet. But as it's also a Windows RT machine, you won't have access to all the legacy
Microsoft's cheaper Surface offering is still a puzzling device. It's better than the previous version in every way, but it still doesn't solve the laptop/tablet conundrum. It tries hard to be a tablet, but it also clings to its laptop heritage, yet it...

Sturdy build, tough twopoint kickstand, fine screen, terrific keyboard covers, fullsize USB 3.0 port, improved battery life
Limited apps in Windows Store

There's nothing wrong with the Surface 2, and there's a lot that is very right about it. But it's not a full Windows device, despite appearances. Given that, it's a well put together and stylish Windows consumption device, a tablet with some unique and co...

The Surface 2 left a very good impression, with one exception. The conclusion can be summed up in one sentence: it's a very complete and quality tablet if you will only use MS Office, but Windows RT remains too limited. The new Surface RT has been impr...

Great new high resolution display, Faster performance thanks to Tegra 4 CPU, All, day battery lasts almost 15 hours, Improved kickstand
Keyboard covers sold separately, Windows RT 8.1 is still limited
The Microsoft Surface 2's performance, the software, pricing, indeed the whole package represents a big step up from the original Surface RT. If this was the public's first taste of Windows RT, the Surface could have performed much better than the origin...
