The editors liked

  • Plenty of expansion options
  • Light and well built
  • Removable battery and second battery option
  • Thin and light
  • Feels good to hold
  • Heaps of options
  • The HP ElitePad 900 is a well-built business tablet with an impressive array of add-ons and accessories

The editors didn't like

  • Won't know until we test it
  • Lacks built-in USB and video out
  • Low screen resolution
  • Optional extras can add significantly to the overall cost
  • The base tablet starts out expensive
  • And those docks and jacket accessories add even more to the cost. Intel's Atom performance continues to underwhelm

  • One of the most good looking Windows 8 tablets, Rugged with military specifications, All the hardware features you could ask for (3G, GPS, NFC, LED flash, etc.), Not Windows RT, so all x86 applications will work, Extensive accessories support
  • Lack of a USB port on the tablet, Though durable, aluminum body may scratch easily, Slower performance and worse battery life than other Clover Trail tablets, Very expensive, Too accessorydependant, making it less usable on its own
  • While the smartphone and laptop are usually general devices everyone can find a use for, tablets are arguably still in the niche market where people only use it to meet a specific need. Whether it is used to just watch movies or to read eBooks, to draw in...
