  • Abstract:  Almost every game – even sandbox and sports games – has a beginning and an end. There may be many ways to get to the ending; there may even be a multitude of endings, and there may even be the opportunity to go back into the game and get that ever-elu...

  • Abstract:  While Glory of Heracles is certainly a new RPG venture from publisher Nintendo here in the U.S., it's actually just the latest entry in a pretty long-running series overseas. Why it's taken so long to make it's way over here is a bit of a mystery, the ...

  • The Nintendo DS is home to some heavy hitters in the classic role-playing genre, many of which would be better options than Glory of Heracles. There isn't anything fundamentally bad about this RPG, and it does present itself in a fairly stress free ma...

  • Good boss fights, Interesting ether system, Lots of customization options
  • Lack of challenge trivializes tactical options, Repetitive battle minigames, Limited exploration
  • Besting this generic role-playing game's pushover difficulty and humdrum gameplay is no heroic task....

  • Abstract:  Glory of Heracles is a role-playing game promising to thrill you with the characters and locales of Greek mythology by featuring them in an original plot. Its gameplay mechanics are competent, highlighted by a unique magic-boosting system and good tact...

  • Abstract:  Often I find the size of game characters combined with the size of the DS screens make for characters that are poorly detailed, pixely (editors note: is that a word?), and lack a good degree of differentiation. Not so in the case for Glory of Heracles....

  • Although the graphical and aural aspects of Glory of Heracles may be lack, the rest of the game is highly enjoyable. The story is well written and even though it uses numerous RPG cliches including the silent amnesiac protagonist, the wit and humour mo...

  • Abstract:  With more fierce competition than ever before, it's hard these days for an RPG to break through on Nintendo DS. Glory of Heracles, however, manages to carve out an interesting niche for itself with a strong cast of characters and a handful of unique ga...

  • Touch screen controls work well, story is pretty interesting, lots of characters, both permanent and temporary, can join your party, music is pleasant, can boost magic with mini-games, lots to explore and Greek mythology is worked into the story well.
  • 3D-esque sprites look sloppy, constant advice pop-ups in battle are annoying, borders on too many tutorials and auto in battle only applies to one turn.
