Abstract: The weeks that follow the launch of an MMO are never perfect, and in some cases, they're not indicative of what the game may look and play like a year or even a few months from now. DC Universe Online has had a decent launch: stable servers and a helpf...

Abstract: If you've never played a massively multiplayer online game before, DC Universe Online is a good place to start. This isn't just because of the DC Comics license, though that might be what first draws you to this light and breezy take on the genre. Afte...
Actionpacked combat is fun from the start, Both Metropolis and Gotham City look great, Beautiful comicbook cutscenes punctuate story missions, Changing gear doesn't mean you have to change your looks.
You reach the level cap and stop earning new powers incredibly quickly, A variety of interface and voice chat issues, Combat and missions get predictable, Not enough content to keep you invested beyond the free month.

Abstract: DC Universe Online (DCUO) is undoubtedly an MMO aimed specifically toward console gamers. Having played both the PC and PS3 versions, the latter which we’re reviewing today, it’s apparent that the simple interface, straightforward upgrade system and un...
Clever use of the DC licence for console, Sony has created an MMO that seems to fit the format from the basic mechanics up to the pad in your hand. As good a reason to subscribe as we’ve seen in an MMORPG. 8.0/10Print this pageComments (0)Share this pa...

For a vanilla build, DC Universe Online is an accomplished first attempt. Its idiosyncrasies work well to introduce new players into the genre and attract seasoned players seeking a fresh experience. As you'd expect with any new MMORPG, it's a little roug...
