Battery only lasts a little more than a day. Most models and configurations cost more than they should. Requires an iPhone to work. Interface can be confusing. Many apps load slowly. Lacks built-in GPS

A day battery life
Thick watch body
Lacks swim-ready water resistance and onboard GPS found in Series 2 models. Only comes in aluminum models
Starting prices are higher than last year. Battery life still won't last past two days. Watch face options are still very limited in choice and function. Only works with iPhones
Ultimately, the Apple Watch Series 4 is an awesome device that you're going to love. I just think you're going to want next year's model more if it has an ambient display. I'd recommend doing what I did with the original Apple Watch. Buy the aluminum one...

Bigger and brighter watch face, new heart rate sensors, better speaker, old watchbands still fit
Autosensing for ending some workouts is too aggressive, LTE available only on stainless steel models, settings like Theater Mode still don't mirror between iPhone and Apple Watch, battery life not good enough for back country use
Impressive, big display, Very comfortable to wear, Battery life exceeds expectations, Great new watchfaces, Feels very fast, Calls are louder than before and easier to hear, Very accurate heart rate tracking, Taptic Engine is still incredible, Digital Cro
Pricey and only works with iPhones, Siri is still not great, Automatic workout detection is a hit and miss, No alwayson display option, No way to see individual activity summary on the watch, No native sleep tracking
To us, when you draw the line, all the changes that come together in the Apple Watch Series 4, however, are truly an ‘A-ha!' water-shed moment for the Apple wearable. The larger screen is the most significant advancement here, a big moment that reminds us...

Abstract: Apple continues to define the smartwatch category. It may have brought the Apple Watch to market long after fitness trackers and Android smartwatches hit store shelves, but Apple quickly surpassed them in function and performance. This year, Apple overhau...
Abstract: The iPhone XS Max is the best iPhone Apple has ever made. Sure, that can be said about each year's new iPhone crop, but the iPhone XS Max sets the bar for iPhone and Android smartphones. The only downside to the XS Max is its price tag. It starts at $1,09...

Abstract: Apple Watch is pretty awesome at doing a lot of things. But mapping workouts isn't one of them. At least, not until now. Back in 2016, I was pretty disappointed with the maps I got from my Apple Watch Series 2 (the first model that came with built-in GPS)...
Abstract: I've now been wearing and using Apple Watch Series 4 for about 2 weeks, since just after the September 12 event at the Steve Jobs theater. I did my initial, deep dive review after a week of fairly frenzied testing. I'm revisiting it now after a second wee...
