  • Abstract:  The new game Forza Motorsport 7 was released on October 3rd and has been a very hot topic since its release. It all started when reviews came in that AMD's Radeon Vega GPUs were doing well in the game, performing well above the competition's performance f...

  • Abstract:  Middle-earth: Shadow of War is the sequel to the award-winning Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, which was released in 2014 and brought to us a sleeper success of a game featuring game mechanics such as the combat system that was inspired by the Arkham ser...

  • At the end of the day our comments and statements made in our launch evaluation hold true in regards to 4K gameplay performance on AMD Radeon RX Vega 64. The AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 is a great and competitive 1440p video card. It allows ultra-settings at 14...

  • Abstract:  Over the weekend we started seeing stories that AMD Radeon Vega 64 air cooled models could get 43.5 MH/s at just 130 Watts of power when mining Ethereum using Claymore's miner. It seems a bunch of sites picked up the story of a Reddit user that was able t...

  • This has been quite an interesting exploration for us, evaluating the overclocked $699 Gigabyte RX Vega 64 liquid cooled edition versus the overclocked $549 GTX 1080 FE. Both cards overclock decently, with the RX Vega 64 gaining a very nice memory overclo...

  • Well I have to say that although I haven't had a chance to check out the multiplayer action yet, I was pleasantly surprised with what I found in the beta experience of Destiny 2. The game looks great, plays well and it's already significantly more polishe...

  • Competitive with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080, Smooth gaming performance at high resolutions
  • High power demands compared with the competition, Frame rates fall behind the GTX 1080, particularly at resolutions below 4K
  • While the Radeon RX Vega 64 can go toe-to-toe with Nvidia's GTX 1080, it's a bit late to the party and has much higher power requirements...

  • Vega 64 is slightly slower than the GTX 1080, while the liquid cooled version wins more than it loses against the GTX 1080
  • Poor availability and thus pricing. AMD's aircooled RX Vega 64 reference card is ~5% slower than the GTX 1080 FE despite being hotter, louder and using more power (though we have high hopes for custom cards)

  • Given the slightly underhanded way in which AMD launched the Vega at one price point so that the launch reviews were written under the misapprehension that the card was £449 when it's actually £549, we won't do our usual thing of not really taking the pri...

  • Bringing this review to a close, if it feels like Vega has been a long time coming, it's not just your imagination. AMD first unveiled the Vega name 17 months ago, and it was 7 months ago when we got our first peek into the Vega architecture. So today's l...
