  • This is one of the easiest GPU reviews to write a conclusion for, because let's face it: nothing about this card comes to us as a surprise. AMD talked about the card long ago, and its specs have been leaked to the Web for a while. That doesn't make the ca...

  • AMD's Radeon RX 470 accomplishes exactly what it set out to do. It's a wonderful card for 1080p, triple-A gaming, running the latest titles consistently at and beyond 60 frames per second. It's even an admirable performer for those with 2...

  • Before we wrap up our thoughts about the RX 470, let's have a look at a couple of our famous value scatter plots. On these charts, the best deals tend to cluster toward the upper left corner of the chart, where prices are low and performance is high. The...

  • There are a number of facets to AMD's Radeon RX 470 launch. Let's start with the easiest one: performance. Radeon RX 470 sports roughly 89% of the shading/texturing hardware as RX 480. So is it any surprise that our factory-overclocked 470 achieves...

  • XFX's gorgeous, thoughtful customizations are great, and the Radeon RX 470's performance devastates its predecessors, but it's priced too close to the RX 480...

  • Good Value, Compact Design, Bleeding-Edge Features, Competitive Pricing, WattMan Overclocking Utility
  • Less Efficient Than RX 480, Power Consumption On Par With 2-Year Old Maxwell GPUs
  • Simple tuning of the power and fan curves using WattMan (or ASUS's own GPU Tweak II utility) resulted in some measurable performance gains, and overall power consumption is relatively low, though Polaris isn't as nearly as power-efficient as NVIDIA's Pasc...

  • Cost per frame king as long as suggested pricing and availability is met. Asus Strix model runs very cool. Impressive 1080p performance not much slower than the RX 480.
  • Average efficiency next to Nvidia's Maxwell and Pascal. Overclocking headroom isn't huge.

  • Abstract:  Both Warhammer and Total War are popular game series, however this isn't the only reason as to why the new game Total War: Warhammer is interesting. The game also has a DirectX 12 mode. In this review we test Warhammar with 20 GPUs in DirectX 12: the numb...

  • Great Full HD performance, Low power consumption, Plenty of memory for a sub-£200 card
  • Priced too near the 4GB RX 480

  • While I'd still suggest saving and getting an RX 480, this is still great.
