  • Very thin. Very light. 180-degree angle on screen. Clamshell design. 10-point touch screen. Comes with mouse. Clean desktop mode screen. Dual friction on hinge. Standard laptop design with touch screen. 1080p screen. IPS display.
  • Mediocre battery life. Limited ports, requires dongles for VGA and Ethernet. Integrated graphics. Persistent cooling fans in high performance mode. Lots of premium features make this a pricey laptop
  • Though the Acer Aspire S7-391-9886 is a very good choice for the "money is no object" buyer, some quirks and a brief battery life keep this ultrabook from earning our highest honors....

  • Beautiful, thin and durable design, Gorgeous 1080p touch-screen display, Accurate audio, Really fast SSDs, Runs cool
  • Short battery life with standard battery, Expensive, Sharp palm rest
  • The Acer Aspire S7 is an absolutely stunning Windows 8 Ultrabook with a full HD touch screen and fast performance, but short endurance holds it back.

  • Good workmanship, Extremely thin case, Lighter than MB Air 13, Full HD Display, Multi-touch panel, Very good viewing angles (IPS), TFT opening angle of 180 degrees, Extremely fast RAID 0 SSD, High performance, Cool under normal operation, Accessories: sec
  • Glossy display, Low brightness on battery use, Almost no maintenance and upgrade options, Few interfaces, Short battery life, Sharp-edged chassis
  • Without question Acer delivers an interesting and high-quality 13-inch ultrabook. It's the better S5-391, because the S7 has by far the higher quality display panel. The Full HD screen competes with the Samsung's Series 9 900X3C-A04DE (HD+) and the Asus Z...

  • Excellent IPS display, 10point multitouch, Fast 2D performance, Beautiful design
  • Bothersome fan noise, Lacklustre battery, Fair share of bloatware
  • We didn't think it would be Acer who would set a new standard for Ultrabook design, but credit where it's due, the Aspire S7 is one of the most stunning laptops we've seen in recent years. Dual-torque hinges, an impossibly-thin body and a Gorilla Glass t...

  • There's room for improvement in battery life, but the slim, light design of the S7 is hard to beat if you're looking for a really portable laptop that has enough power to handle some serious work when you're away from the mains.Tags:Business,Laptops,Windo...

  • The Acer Aspire S7 is a great device, it really showcases what Windows 8 is really about. Therein lies the problem, with a totally touch optimised interface you'd absolutely love the S7, for me the split personality of Windows 8 detracts from the glorious...

  • Abstract:  I nearly didn't review this equipment, assuming at first that it was just a variant of the Acer Aspire S3-391. It might have a similar code, but this is a very different computer from the S3, and it's a dramatically more spectacular device. The S7 series i...

  • The Aspire S7 remains the best Ultrabook I’ve ever used. While there are obvious points of improvement in terms of battery life, beyond this flaw the Aspire S7 simple soars. A top Ultrabook and a new high standard for Acer design. Pros Thin and beauti...
